If you’re anything like me, you’ve been making use of the lovely new features in SQL Server 2012 alongside SharePoint 2010 SP1- such as using PerformancePoint to report on PowerPivot or SSAS BISM Tabular cubes.
If that’s the case, you’ve probably run up against a stumbling block, which is that whatever you try, you can’t get PerformancePoint to connect to your PowerPivot cube. You used to be able to do it with the previous SQL Server/PowerPivot combination, but not in the CTP3/RC0 flavours.
And if you are indeed like me, you probably wracked your brains for a bit before giving up and importing your PowerPivot into a BISM Tabular cube and connecting with that instead.
Well, no need to workaround any more- a nice chap from Microsoft has posted a solution, which should have you Powering your Pivots in a dashboard in no time.
